<Text>This order may be cited as the Velindre National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment (No. 2) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st October 2002.</Text>

<Text>In this Order, “the principal Order” (“<Emphasis>y prif Orchymyn</Emphasis>”) means the Velindre National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 as amended <FootnoteRef Ref="f00005"/>.</Text>

<Title>Amendment of article 3 of the principal Order</Title>

<Text>The principal Order shall be amended by the insertion after article 3(2) of the following—</Text>

<Text>This Order further amends the Velindre National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 (the principal Order) so as to amend its functions and increase its number of executive directors.</Text>

<Text>The Order extends the functions of the trust to include the function of managing and providing a range of public health, health protection and advisory services, child protection services, microbiological laboratory services and services relating to the surveillance, prevention and control of communicable diseases.</Text>

<Text>The Order amends the principal Order by increasing the number of executive directors from 4 to 5.</Text>
