The Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (Wales) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2002
Title, application and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (Wales) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2002; it applies to Wales only and shall come into force on 1st August 2002.

In article 2—
(a)
““animals” (“anifeiliaid”) means cattle (excluding bison and yak), deer, goats, sheep and swine;”.
(b)
““equipment” (“cyfarpar”) shall include pens and hurdles.”.

In the Schedule—
(a)
in paragraphs 1 and 2, in each place where the words “28 days” occur, there shall be substituted the words “27 days”;
(b)
in paragraph 1(b), the words “pens, hurdles and any other” shall be deleted; and
(c)
in paragraph 4, the words “pens, hurdles and any other” shall be deleted;.

This Order further amends the Animal Gatherings (Interim Measures) (Wales) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/283 (W.34) (“the principal Order”), as amended by SI 2002/1358 (W.134).
This Order—
Restricts the categories of animals to which the principal Order applies so as to include only cattle (excluding bison and yak), deer, goats, sheep and swine.
Defines the terms “equipment” for the purposes of the principal Order and amends the references to “pens, hurdles and other equipment” accordingly.
Reduces the 28 day restricted periods to 27 days.
A regulatory appraisal has not been prepared for this Order.
