They replace with modifications the Education (Special Educational Needs) Regulations 1994, which are revoked (regulation 25). 2002 No. 152 (W.20) Made 29th January 2002 Coming into force 1st April 2002 The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 316A(2), 322(4), 324(2), 325(2A) and (2B), 328(1), (3A), (3B) and (6), 329(2A), 329A(9), and 569(1), (2) and (4) of, and paragraphs 2, 3(1), (3) and (4) of Schedule 26, and paragraphs 2(3), 2B (3), 5(3), 6(3), 7(1) and (2), 8(3A) and (5), 11(2A) and (4) of Schedule 27 to, the Education Act 1996, and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales, hereby makes the following Regulations: 1996 c. 56. For the meaning of “regulations” see section 579(1) of the Act. Sections 316A(2), 325(2A) and 2(B), 328(3A) and (3B), 329(2A) and 329A(9) were inserted by the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 (c. 10), section 1, paragraph 6 of Schedule 8, paragraph 7 of Schedule 8, paragraph 8 of Schedule 8 and section 8 respectively. Paragraphs 2(3), 2B(3), 6(3), 8(3A), 11(2A) of Schedule 27 were inserted by the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001, Schedule 1, paragraphs 3 and 14 and Schedule 8, paragraphs 9(2) and 10(2) respectively.
