Mae Rheoliadau Grantiau Adnewyddu Tai 1966 (“y prif Reoliadau”) yn gosod y prawf moddion ar gyfer penderfynu swm y grant adnewyddu a'r grant cyfleusterau anabl y caiff awdurdodau tai lleol eu talu i geiswyr sy'n berchennog-feddianwyr a cheiswyr sy'n denantiaid o dan Bennod I o Ran I o Ddeddf Grantiau Tai, Adeiladu ac Adfywio 1996.
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn gwneud Rheoliadau Grantiau Adnewyddu Tai (Diwygio) (Lloegr) 2000 a Rheoliadau Grantiau Adnewyddu Tai (Diwygio Rhif 2) (Lleogr) 2000 yn gymwysadwy i Gymru. Mae'r Rheoliadau hynny yn gwneud diwygiadau i'r prif Reoliadau sy'n ganlyniad i'r newidiadau i Reoliadau Budd-dâl Tai (Cyffredinol) 1987 y seiliwyd y prawf moddion arnynt.
Mae'r Rhealiadau Grantiau Adnewyddu Tai (Diwygio Rhif 2) (Lloegr) 2000 hefyd yn diddymu rhai darpariaethau'r Rheoliadau Grantiau Adnewyddu Tai (Diwygio) (Lloegr) 2000.
