http://www.legislation.gov.uk/wsi/2000/352/article/2The BG plc (Rateable Value) (Wales) Order 2000Business ratesRATING AND VALUATION, WALESStatute Law Database2022-08-30Expert Participation2003-04-01 Under paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 6 to the Local Government Finance Act 1988, the Secretary of State may by order provide in the case of non-domestic hereditaments to be shown in the central rating list for Wales that the normal rules of valuation for rating contained in paragraphs 2 to 2B of that Schedule shall not apply, and instead that their rateable value shall be such as is specified in the order or determined in accordance with prescribed rules. These powers are now vested in the National Assembly for Wales. 2 In this Order– “the Act” (“y Ddeddf”) means the Local Government Finance Act 1988; “BG plc” (“BG plc”) means the company registered bearing that name on 9th November 1999; “Welsh gas hereditaments” (“hereditamentau nwy Cymru”) means non-domestic hereditaments occupied (or, if unoccupied, owned) by BG plc and required by virtue of regulation 3(1) of, and Part 3 of the Schedule to, the Central Rating List (Wales) Regulations 1999 to be shown in a central rating list; and “year” (“blwyddyn”) means a chargeable financial year.
