2. In this Order—
“the Constitution” means the Constitution set out in Schedule 2 to the principal Order, as amended by the 2021 Order;
“existing laws” means laws and instruments (other than Acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and instruments made under them) having effect as part of the law of the Turks and Caicos Islands immediately before the relevant day;
“relevant day” means—
in relation to articles 6 to 8, 10 to 13, and 15 to 23, the day appointed by the Governor under article 1(3);
in relation to articles 9 and 14, the next dissolution of the Parliament following the earliest day appointed by the Governor under article (1)(3).
