The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 28 and 168(2)(a) of the Building Safety Act 2022(1) and sections 105B and 120A(2)(a) of the Building Act 1984(2).

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations to give effect to proposals made by the regulator(3) under section 7(2) of the Building Safety Act 2022 after consulting in accordance with section 7(3) of that Act, and section 120B(1) of the Building Act 1984 after consulting in accordance with section 120B(2) of that Act.
