Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(1) and (2) of, and paragraph 1(1)(c) of Schedule 3 to, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (“the Act”)1.
These Regulations give effect without modifications to proposals submitted to the Secretary of State by the Health and Safety Executive under section 11(3) of the Act. Before submitting the proposals, the Health and Safety Executive consulted the Office for Nuclear Regulation2 and such other bodies as appeared to be appropriate as required by section 50(3) of the Act.
