This Order gives effect to recommendations made by West Suffolk Council to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England for related alterations following a reorganisation of community review by the Council given effect to by the West Suffolk (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (Dalham, Ousden, Denston, Wickhambrook, Worlington, Red Lodge) Order 2022 and the West Suffolk (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Rushbrooke with Rougham) Order 2022 (together being “the Council’s Orders”).
The alterations are a consequence of changes to parish boundaries and warding arrangements under the Council’s Orders which were made by West Suffolk Council under powers including section 86 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 (c. 28). A hard copy of those orders are available for inspection at reasonable times at the offices of West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3YU.
The changes described in article 3 (in relation to district wards) apply in respect of elections to be held on and after the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2023.
The changes described in article 4 (in relation to county electoral divisions) apply in respect of elections to be held on and after the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2025.
