The Police Act 1996 (Amendment and Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2022

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31A(1) of the Police Act 19961 and section 58(1) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 20112, makes the following Regulations.
The Secretary of State has consulted the Electoral Commission in accordance with section 7(2)(hc) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 20003.
In accordance with section 31A(2) of the Police Act 1996 and section 154(2) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
