The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 20171, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014 (Amendment) Order 2021 and shall come into force on 1st September 2021.

Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc. (Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 20142.

The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014 is varied in accordance with paragraph (2).

For article 2, substitute—

“2.

The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust (also known as ‘Ashridge’) shall be competent to grant awards of the kind mentioned in paragraph (a) of section 76(2) of the said Act.”

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, made under section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014, so that Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust’s existing Degree Awarding Powers authorisation remains valid for an indefinite period. This Order will come into force on 1st September 2021.
