EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This instrument confirms a Scheme to construct over the navigable waters of the River Wear the Footbridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme required as part of the development of the Riverside and which is required to connect pedestrian and cycleway purposes only the Vaux Site and the Sheepfolds area situated in the city centre of Sunderland.
The Secretary of State has modified this Bridge Scheme as follows:
1. In the Schedule to the Scheme, the paragraph titled ‘PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE NEW RIVER WEAR HIGH LEVEL FOOTBRIDGE’, the plan numbered SCC-NWF-ATK-SBR-XX-DR-000001’ has been amended to SCC-NWF-ATK-SBR-XX-DR-S-000001.
2. In the Schedule to the Scheme, the paragraph titled POINTS OF COMMENCEMENT AND TERMINATION, the word ‘approximately’ has been removed from both sentences.
