Her Majesty by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 2(1)(za) of Schedule 9 to the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 20091, makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations (No. 2) Order 2021 and comes into force on 22nd July 2021.

Extent and Application2.

(1)

This Order extends to England and Wales.

(2)

This Order applies in relation to England only.

Appointment of chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations3.

Jo Saxton is appointed as the chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation and is to be known as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations, from 18th September 2021.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints Jo Saxton to the role of chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, which is established by section 127 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. In accordance with paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 9 to that Act, the person appointed to that position is to be known as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations.
