Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Limited Liability Partnerships (Amendment etc.) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 16th February 2021.

In these Regulations—

  • “the 1986 Act” means the Insolvency Act 19863;

  • “the 1989 Order” means the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 19894;

  • “the 2001 Regulations” means the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 20015;

  • “the 2004 Regulations” means the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20046;

  • “the 2006 Act” means the Companies Act 20067;

  • “the 2009 Regulations” means the Limited Liability Partnerships (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 20098;

  • “the 2020 Act” means the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020.
