The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 42(1) and 44(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 20171, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Arden University Limited) (Amendment) Order 2021 and shall come into force on 1st September 2021.

Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc. (Arden University Limited) Order 20202

The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Arden University Limited) Order 2020 is varied in accordance with paragraph (2).

For paragraph 2, substitute—

Arden University Limited shall be competent to grant taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(a) and defined under section 42(3) of the said Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, made under sections 42(1) and 44(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Arden University Limited) Order 2020, so that Arden University Limited’s existing Degree Awarding Powers authorisation remains valid for an indefinite period. This Order will come into force on 1st September 2021.
