Interpretation2.
(1)
In this Order—
“the Company” means The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company Limited;
“existing enactments” means The Mersey Docks and Harbour Acts and Orders 1857 to 2009;
“limits of deviation” means the limits of deviation shown on the deposited plans and sections;
“relevant work” means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over the waters of the port;
“Trinity House” means the Corporation of Trinity House of Deptford Strond;
“the UK Hydrographic Office” mans the Hydrographic Office of the Ministry of Defence, Taunton, Somerset TA1 2DN; and
“the works” means the works authorised by this Order, or any part of such works.

All areas, directions, distances, lengths, widths, heights and grid references as stated in any description of works, power or lands other than article 6 (power to deviate) are to be construed as if the words “or thereabouts” were inserted after each such area, direction, distance, length, width, height and grid reference and any reference in a description of works to a point is a reference to that point on the deposited plans and sections.

Map reference points specified in this Order are World Geodetic System 1984 points provided in Latitude and Longitude.

References in the existing enactments to the undertaking of the Company are to be construed as including references to any works carried on by the Company or any of its subsidiaries under or by virtue of this Order.
