In relation to land which is coastal margin as a result of the relevant approval, the day appointed as the day on which the access preparation period2 ends is 30 March 2021.

In paragraph (1), “the relevant approval” means the approval by the Secretary of State3 under section 52(1) of the Act4 of the relevant report on 28 September 2015.

In paragraph (2), “the relevant report” means the report entitled “Coastal Access Whitehaven to Silecroft” submitted by Natural England to the Secretary of State under sections 51 and 55A of the Act5 on 16 October 2014 6.

In this article, “the Act” means the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 19497.
