The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(1)(a) and (2)(a) and 189(1), (4) and (6) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(1), sections 8(3)(c), 9(3)(c), 25(2), (3), (4) and (5)(b) of the Welfare Reform Act 2007(2) and sections 37(5)(b), 42(2) and (3)(b) and 80(4)(c) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012(3).

In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(4) the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
