Coming into force
The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 20171, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (The London Institute of Banking & Finance) Order 2021 and shall come into force on 2nd January 2022.

Competence to grant awards

2.

The London Institute of Banking & Finance shall be competent to grant taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(a) and defined under section 42(3) of the said Act for an indefinite period.

3.

The London Institute of Banking & Finance may authorise other institutions to grant such awards as specified in article 2 of this Order on its behalf.

This Order, made under section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 authorises The London Institute of Banking & Finance with the power to award taught awards for an indefinite period. This Order will come into force on 2nd January 2022.
