This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8(1) of Part 2 of Schedule 8 and paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 10 to the Traffic Management Act 2004.

Oxfordshire County Council and Warwickshire County Council have each applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made in exercise of those powers, in respect of part of its respective area.

The Secretary of State has consulted the Chief Constables of the Thames Valley and Warwickshire Police, in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 8(3) of Part 2 of Schedule 8 and paragraph 3(4) of Schedule 10 to that Act.

 Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes this Order. Citation, commencement and extent 1 1 This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions Designation Order 2021. 2 Articles 1, 2, 3 and 5 and Schedule 1 come into force on 1st November 2021. 3 Article 4 and Schedule 2 come into force on 1st February 2022. 4 This order extends to England and Wales. Interpretation 2 In this Order “grid reference” means Ordnance Survey National Grid reference point. Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area for Oxfordshire 3 The Secretary of State designates the part of the area of Oxfordshire County Council specified in Schedule 1 as— a a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and b a special enforcement area. Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area for Warwickshire 4 The Secretary of State designates the part of the area of Warwickshire County Council specified in Schedule 2 as— a a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and b a special enforcement area. Revocation 5 The following Orders are revoked— a the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Areas and Special Parking Areas) (City of Oxford and Parish of North Hinksey) Order 1996; b the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Areas and Special Parking Areas) (City of Oxford and Parish of North Hinksey) (Amendment) Order 1999; and c the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Oxfordshire) (District of West Oxfordshire) Designation Order 2009.
