Citation, commencement and extent1.

This Order may be cited as the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Designated Scottish Sites under Section 129) Order 2021 and comes into force on 1st October 2021.

This Order extends to Scotland.
Designated Scottish site2.
The site designated as a designated Scottish site for the purposes of section 129 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (trespass on designated site: corresponding Scottish offence) is so much of the site including the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh, EH99 1SP as is within the dotted line in bold that is marked on the map in the Schedule (the Scottish Parliament Site).
SCHEDULEThe Scottish Parliament Site
This Order designates a site in Scotland for the purposes of section 129 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005. If a person enters, or is on, the site designated in this Order without lawful authority they will commit an offence under section 129(1) of that Act.
An offence under section 129 is punishable on summary conviction by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, or both.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
