Where an inspector or an approved veterinary surgeon so directs, the keeper must mark an animal in the manner required by the inspector or approved veterinary surgeon.

An inspector or approved veterinary surgeon may paint, stamp, clip, tag or otherwise mark an animal for the purpose of identification of tested animals.

A person must not change or interfere with any action taken under this article without authorisation by an inspector or an approved veterinary surgeon.
