<P><Text>Regulation 9 of the Criminal Legal Aid (General) Regulations 2013 (<Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2013/9" id="c00001" Class="UnitedKingdomStatutoryInstrument" Year="2013" Number="0009">S.I. 2013/9</Citation>) (“the General Regulations”) makes provision about criminal proceedings for the purposes of section 14(h) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/2012/10" id="c00002" Class="UnitedKingdomPublicGeneralAct" Year="2012" Number="0010">2012 (c. 10)</Citation> (“the 2012 Act”). <P><Text>Proceedings under section 1 concern the application for stalking protection orders by a chief officer of police. Proceedings under section 4 concern applications by the defendant or a relevant chief officer of police to vary, renew or discharge the stalking protection order. Proceedings under section 5 concern interim stalking protection orders. Proceedings under section 7 concern appeals against making or refusal to make an order under the 2019 Act.</Text></P>
<P><Text>A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private or voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.</Text></P>
