41.—(1) The Local Government Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2018(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 10 (temporary reduction in contributions), in paragraph (5)(c) after “paternity” insert “, parental bereavement”.
(3) In regulation 12 (contributions during child-related leave), in paragraph (2) after “paternity leave” insert “, parental bereavement leave”.
(4) In regulation 15 (absence), in paragraph (4)(b), after “additional adoption leave” insert “, parental bereavement leave”.
(5) In regulation 16 (additional pension contributions), in paragraph (17)(a) after “additional adoption leave,” insert “parental bereavement leave”.
(6) In Schedule 1 (interpretation)—
(a)in the definition of child-related leave omit “or” at the end of paragraph (e), and at the end insert—
“; or
(g)parental bereavement leave during which the member receives some pensionable pay”;
(b)after “ordinary maternity leave” insert—
““parental bereavement leave” means leave under the Parental Bereavement Leave Regulations 2020;”;
(c)in the definition of “statutory pay” after “shared parental” insert “, parental bereavement”.
