The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10(3) and (6), 79(1), (4) and (6) and 84 of the Social Security Act 1998(1), sections 24(1) and 25(2), (3) and (5) of, and paragraphs 1(a) and 2 of Schedule 2 to, the Welfare Reform Act 2007(2) and sections 8(3)(a) and (4), 37(6), 40 and 42(1) to (3) of, and paragraph 4(1), (3)(a) and (4) of Schedule 1 to, the Welfare Reform Act 2012(3).
In accordance with section 173(1)(a) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(4), it appears to the Secretary of State that by reason of the urgency of this matter it is inexpedient to refer the proposals in respect of these Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee.
