EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which extends to England and Wales and Scotland, prescribes the fees payable by the holder of a licence issued under section 2C of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. This Order increases the fixed element of the fee from £826 to £915 and the variable element from £275 to £299.
An impact assessment of the effect that this instrument will have on the costs of business and the voluntary sector is available from the Home Office and is annexed to the Explanatory Memorandum which is available alongside the instrument on http://www.legislation.gov.uk and can be obtained from the Home Office.

Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications.
