Amendments to regulation 4 of the principal Regulations3.

(1)

Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is amended as follows.

(2)

In paragraph (1)(b), after “transited through a non-exempt country or territory” insert—

“, or

(c)

is residing with another person (“D”), and D is required to self-isolate under these Regulations because D has arrived in England from Denmark or has, within the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of D’s arrival in England, departed from or transited through Denmark”.

In paragraph (3)—

(a)

in sub-paragraph (a), for “or (c)” substitute “, (c) or (d)”;

(b)

after sub-paragraph (c), insert—

“(d)

where P is a person described in paragraph (1)(c) (residing with another person, “D”), at the address at which P is residing with D.”.

In paragraph (7), before “P must” insert “Where P is a person described in paragraph (1)(a) or (b),”.

(5)

After paragraph (7), insert—

“(7A)

Where P is a person described in paragraph (1)(c) (residing with another person, “D”), P must self-isolate until the end of the period during which D is required to self-isolate.”.

After paragraph (13), insert—

“(14)

Paragraph (13) does not apply in relation to—

(a)

a person who has, at any time in the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of their arrival in England, departed from or transited through Denmark, or

(b)

a person residing with a person described in sub-paragraph (a).”.
