40. In Article 38—
(a)in paragraph 3,
[F1(i)] in the words before point (a), for “Member State” substitute “ constituent territory of the United Kingdom or in the member State ”;
[F2(i)in point (a), after “with Article 5(1);” insert “and”;
(ii)in point (b), at the end insert “, if different”;]
(b)after paragraph 3 insert—
“4. Where an EU travel identification document has been issued in respect of an equine animal, the competent authority issuing the document must communicate the information specified in paragraph 1, and the fact that an EU travel identification document has been issued, to the central database for the appropriate constituent territory of [F3Great Britain], established in accordance with Article 39.”.
