The Treasury(1), in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1)(a) and (c) and (3), 3(1)(a), (b)(i) and (d)(i), 9(2)(a), 10(2)(a), (3) and (4), 11(2) to (9), 15(2)(a) and (b), (3)(a), (b), (d), (f), (g) and (h) and (6), 16(1)(a), (b), (c) and (e), (2) and (3)(a), 17(2)(a), (b)(i) and (c), (3) to (5) and (8), 21(1), 54(1) and (2), 56 and 62(4) and (5) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018(2), and having decided, upon consideration of the matters set out in section 2(2) and 56(1) of that Act, that it is appropriate to do so, makes the following Regulations:

(1)

The power to make regulations under Part 1 of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) is conferred on an “appropriate Minister”. Section 1(9)(b) of the Act defines an “appropriate Minister” as including the Treasury.
