This Order gives effect to recommendations made by Vale of White Horse District Council to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England for related alterations of district ward and county electoral division boundaries.
These alterations are a consequence of changes to certain parish boundaries introduced by the Vale of White Horse District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2015 (accessible at http://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/services-and-advice/local-democracy/town-and-parish-councils/local-government-and-public-involveme-1) and the Vale of White Horse District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2018 (accessible at http://s3-eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/lgbce/Reviews/South%20East/Oxfordshire/Vale%20of%20White%20Horse/CGR/The%20Vale%20of%20White%20Horse%20DC%20(ROCG)%20Order%202018.pdf). Each Order was made under section 86 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. The changes to district ward boundaries under article 3 apply in respect of elections to be held on and after the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2019.
The changes to county electoral division boundaries under article 4 apply in respect of elections to be held on and after the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2021.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
