Citation and commencement

These Regulations made be cited as the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 and come into force on exit day.
Revocations

Regulation (EU) No. 1290/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the rules for participation and dissemination in Horizon 2020 – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) is revoked.

Regulation (EU) No. 1291/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing Horizon 2020 – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) is revoked.
4.
Council Decision 2013/743/EU establishing the specific programme implementing Horizon 2020 – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) is revoked.
These Regulations revoke instruments deriving from EU legislation relating to the Horizon 2020 framework programme for research and innovation which have been retained in domestic law under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 as retained EU law. The revocations address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a) and (d) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
