Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 20041, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and Commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Fire and Rescue Services (Appointment of Inspector) (Wales) Order 2019 and comes into force on 18th December 2019.

Appointment of Inspector2

Daniel John Stephens is appointed an inspector for the purposes of section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints Daniel John Stephens as an inspector under section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 in its application to Wales. An inspector is appointed under section 28(1) for the purpose of obtaining information as to (a) the manner in which fire and rescue authorities in Wales are discharging their functions and (b) technical matters relating to those functions.
