SCHEDULELENGTHS OF HIGHWAY BECOMING TRUNK ROAD

The lengths of highways to become trunk road are the A6055 eastern and western roundabouts, the length of A6055 road connecting those roundabouts and 14.2 metres of the access road from its junction with the A6055 eastern roundabout up to the access gate at Junction 52 of the A1(M) Motorway, in the District of Richmondshire in the County of North Yorkshire, as shown by hatching on the plan:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

As part of the upgrading of the A1 Trunk Road to motorway status, two new roundabouts were constructed on the A6055 on either side of the A1(M) Motorway at Junction 52 (Catterick Interchange), which together form a ‘dumbbell roundabout’ arrangement at this grade separated junction passing over the A1(M). In order to take responsibility for managing and maintaining the entire Catterick Interchange, the Secretary of State will become the highway authority for the highways described in the Schedule to this Order.
