The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 E+W

6.—(1) The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 M1 is amended as follows.

(2) In section 14(4ZA) M2 , for the words from “the list” to “spread of invasive alien species” substitute “ the list of species in the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1141 adopting a list of invasive alien species of Union concern pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council ”.

(3) In Schedule 9A M3 —

(a) in paragraph 1(2)(a), for “Union list” substitute “ list of species of special concern ”;

(b) for paragraph 2(6) substitute—

“(6) The “list of species of special concern” means the list of species in the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1141 adopting a list of invasive alien species of Union concern pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as amended from time to time.”.
