The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5(1)(a), 189(1) and (4) and 191 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(1).
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
1992 c. 5. Section 191 is an interpretation provision and is cited for the meaning of the word “prescribed”. There are amendments to sections 5 and 189 which are not relevant to these Regulations.
