The End-of-Life Vehicles (Producer Responsibility) Regulations 200542 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2—
a
in the definition of “the Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Commission Directive (EU) 2017/2096”;
b
in the definition of “the Waste Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Council Regulation (EU) 2017/997”.

In regulation 5, for “the second indent of Article 4(1)(a) of Directive 70/156/EEC” substitute “Article 9(1)(b) of Directive 2007/46/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles”.
