Prohibition on the carriage and discharge of unassessed liquid substances26

The master of a ship must not enable that ship to—
a
proceed to sea; or
b
(if it is already at sea) remain at sea,
if it is carrying in bulk any liquid substance which has not been categorised, provisionally assessed or evaluated in accordance with regulation 6 of Annex II.

The discharge into the sea from a ship of any liquid substance which has not been categorised, provisionally assessed or evaluated in accordance with regulation 6 of Annex II is prohibited.
