Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to make the following Order in Council:
Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

This Order may be cited as the Registration (Entries of Overseas Births and Deaths) (Amendment) Order 2018 and comes into force on 22nd May 2018.

Amendment of the 1982 Order2.
The 1982 Order is amended in accordance with articles 3 and 4.
Amendment of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the 1982 Order3.

This Order amends the Registration (Entries of Overseas Births and Deaths) Order 1982 (S.I. 1982/1526) (“the 1982 Order”). The 1982 Order applies provisions of enactments relating to the registration of births and deaths in the United Kingdom to certified copies of birth and death entries sent for deposit with the Registrars General in the United Kingdom.
Articles 3 to 4 of this Order make amendments to Part 1 of Schedule 1 and Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1982 Order. This corrects a typographical error made in The Registration (Entries of Overseas Births and Deaths) (Amendment) Order 2017 (S.I. 2017/1279).
