Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 157(1)(c) and (3) of the Housing Act 19851.
Citation, commencement, application and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right to Buy) (Designated Rural Areas and Designated Regions) (England) Order 2018 and comes into force on 27th March 2018.

This Order applies in relation to England only.

In this Order “the Act” means the Housing Act 1985.
Designated rural areas4
The areas specified in the Schedule are designated as rural areas for the purposes of section 157 of the Act.
Designated regions

In relation to a dwelling-house which is situated in a rural area designated by article 3 and listed in paragraph 1 of the Schedule, the region designated for the purposes of section 157(3) of the Act is the district of North Kesteven.

In relation to a dwelling-house which is situated in a rural area designated by article 3 and listed in paragraph 2 of the Schedule, the region designated for the purposes of section 157(3) of the Act is the district of Stroud.
