Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014(1) and section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2).
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purpose of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures to give effect to the Economic Community’s rules on competition applying to undertakings(3).
A draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 2(3) of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972.
