This regulation applies where the Commission has determined that it should manage the investigation by the Chief Executive of any complaint, recordable conduct matter or DSI matter.

Paragraphs (2) to (5) of regulation 42 (investigations supervised by the Commission) apply as they apply in the case of an investigation which the Commission has determined is one that it should supervise.

The person appointed to investigate the complaint or matter is, in relation to that investigation, under the direction and control of the Commission.
