SCHEDULE 4AMENDMENT OF OTHER SECONDARY LEGISLATION

Telecommunications (Street Works) (Northern Ireland) Order 1984

1.—(1) The Telecommunications (Street Works) (Northern Ireland) Order 1984(1) is amended as follows.

(2) In article 2, for the words from “telecommunications code” to “paragraph 9” substitute “electronic communications code set out in Schedule 3A to the Communications Act 2003 to do one or more things mentioned in paragraphs 58 and 59 of Part 8”.

(3) In the heading to Part 1 of Schedule 1, for “paragraph 9(1) of the telecommunications code” substitute “paragraphs 58 and 59 of Part 8 of the electronic communications code”.

Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986

2.—(1) The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986(2) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 101 (parking in darkness), in paragraph (2)(b)(v), for “Schedule 2 to the Telecommunications Act 1984” substitute “paragraph 5 of the electronic communications code set out in Schedule 3A to the Communications Act 2003”.

“electronic communications code” means the code set out in Schedule 3A to the Communications Act 2003;;

“operator of an electronic communications code network” has the meaning given in paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 17 to the Communications Act 2003;.

(3) In article 4 (restriction of works and dredging), in paragraph (4)(a)—
