The Ada National College for Digital Skills (Incorporation) Order 2016

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16(1)(a) and (5) and 17(2)(b) of the Further and Higher Education Act 19921.
In accordance with section 16A(1) of that Act2, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the proposed order in the prescribed manner3.

This Order may be cited as the Ada National College for Digital Skills (Incorporation) Order 2016 and comes into force on 8th August 2016.

There is established a body corporate called “Ada National College for Digital Skills”, for the purpose of establishing and conducting as from the operative date a new educational institution of that name.

The operative date in relation to the further education corporation established by this Order is 9th August 2016.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order establishes a further education corporation called “the Ada National College for Digital Skills” under section 16(1)(a) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 for the purpose of conducting a new educational institution called by the same name. It appoints 9th August 2016 as the operative date for the purposes of Part 1 of the Act, being the date from which the further education corporation shall operate the college.

An Impact Assessment has not been prepared for this instrument as it has no wider impact on the costs of business, charities or voluntary bodies. The impact on the public sector is minimal. The Explanatory Memorandum is published alongside the Order at www.legislation.gov.uk.
