Article 3
The length of trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is the length of Fox Valley Way (formerly known as the “Steelworks East Access”) from its junction with the A616 Trunk Road (Stocksbridge Bypass) to the point where the road becomes a private means of access (a distance of approximately 140 metres); as shown by heavy black hatching on the plan.
(This note is not part of the Order)
The purpose of the Order is to authorise the Secretary of State to remove the trunk road status from the length of trunk road described in the Schedule to the Order. The responsibility for the maintenance of this length of road will thereafter pass to the local Highway Authority, which is Sheffield City Council.
