<Text>This Order may be cited as the A138 (Replacement Chelmer Viaduct) (Detrunking) Order 2016 and shall come into force on 14th April 2016.</Text>

<Text>In this Order –</Text>
<P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2016/487/article/2/a/made" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2016/487/article/2/a" id="article-2-a">
<Pnumber>a</Pnumber>
<P3para>
<Text>“classified road” as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is not a principal road for the purposes of enactments or instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State for Transport and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads;</Text>

<Pnumber>b</Pnumber>

<Text>“the trunk road” means the A138 Trunk Road as described in the Schedule to this Order; and</Text>

<Text>“the plan” means the plan numbered HA <Acronym Expansion="20">XX</Acronym>/XX/XXX marked “The A138 (Replacement Chelmer Viaduct) (Detrunking) Order 2016”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Document Deposit Service, Communities and Local Government, Floor 12 (IMD), Ashdown House, <Abbreviation Expansion="Saint">St.</Abbreviation> Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA</Text>

<Pnumber>3</Pnumber>

<Text>The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which this Order comes into force.</Text>
