The Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2016
In accordance with section 123(4)(a) of that Act, a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2016 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
Proscribed organisations2.
Part 2 of the Terrorism Act 2000 makes provision about proscribed organisations (including setting out offences in relation to such organisations in sections 11 to 13). An organisation is proscribed if it is listed in Schedule 2 to that Act or, in most cases, if it operates under the same name as an organisation so listed (section 3(1)). This Order removes the organisation referred to in article 2 from the list in that Schedule, so that it is no longer proscribed.
