These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 2016.

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005 (“the Dental Charges Regulations”).
Regulation 2 amends regulation 4 of the Dental Charges Regulations to increase the charges for Band 1 courses of treatment from £18.80 to £19.70, Band 2 courses of treatment from £51.30 to £53.90 and Band 3 courses of treatment from £222.50 to £233.70.
Regulations 3 and 4 make amendments to regulations 12A and 12B respectively of the Dental Charges Regulations to reflect the termination of the Capitation and Quality Scheme 2 on 31st March 2016. Regulation 3 also increases the charge for a Band 1A interim care course of treatment provided by contractors participating in the Prototype Agreement Scheme from £18.80 to £19.70 in line with Band 1.
