Regulation 2 revokes the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 2015/645), which were due to come into force on 6th April 2015.
Regulation 3 amends regulation 10(2) of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/704) by increasing the cash amounts payable, as a general rule, in respect of a person’s essential living needs, where that person is a single person aged 18 or over but is not aged 25 or over where the decision to grant support was made prior to 5th October 2009 and the person reached age 25 prior to that date.
These Regulations take effect from 6th April 2015. On that date, the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/907), which set out the previous cash amounts payable, are revoked.
