The Government of Wales Act 2006 (Amendment) Order 2015

Whereas a draft of this Order in Council has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament and of the National Assembly for Wales:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 109 of the Government of Wales Act 20061 and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Government of Wales Act 2006 (Amendment) Order 2015.

This Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Amendment of the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c.32)2

In paragraph 5(2)(a) of Part 2 of Schedule 7 to the Government of Wales Act 2006, after “78,” insert “79,”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends Schedule 7 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 so as to confer legislative competence upon the National Assembly for Wales to amend section 79 of that Act (sustainable development).
