EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes the designation of Bishop of Rochester Academy as a school having a religious character. The school was so designated by the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (Independent Schools) (England) Order 2010, but the Secretary of State is satisfied that the designation ought to be revoked because the provision of education at the school is no longer in accordance with the tenets of the Church of England.
